Manufacturing traveler
One sheet for the people who make the part
A manufacturing traveler is the process traveler written for fabrication: mill, weld, cure, plate, inspect. It is not a production-planning dashboard. If the operator cannot see the next station without a login, you do not have a traveler.
What manufacturing adds to the header
Job, job number, part, rev, qty. Then materials that actually get consumed: bar stock, weld wire, resin lot, hardware kit. If plating or heat treat is farmed out, write the vendor on the step, not in a side chat. The packet walks off-site with the lot.
Holds belong on the route
First-article, in-process, and final inspection are operations with inspection Y. A manufacturing traveler that says “inspect as needed” is how a lot ships short of a hole. Job Traveler prints the hold as a row with a sign line. It does not decide your sampling plan.
